Born in the island of Jersey in 1972 to Irish parents. I attended the University of Manchester, gaining a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, before starting my career in tax with KPMG in Jersey. After almost 11 years, and a change to EY, we moved to Luxembourg where I began a new chapter working primarily with alternative funds. I joined PwC in 2017 as partner, and worked with them up until the end of June 2023.

I have been together with Rachael since 1993, and we have 6 children together, with twin girls in 1996, and again twin girls in 1998, then a boy in 2007, followed by the final boy in 2009.

I am an associate of the UK Chartered Institute of Taxation and a former member of the Luxembourg Ordre des Experts-Comptables. I have degrees in Biochemistry and English law, and am currently studying for a masters degree in astrophysics.
